Where are you located?

BuBu Resort and BuBu Villa are located in front of the white sandy Long Beach of Pulau Perhentian Kecil, the smaller of the two main Perhentian islands in Malaysia.

What is the distance between BuBu Resort and BuBu Villa?

BuBu Resort is located at the end of long beach next to Long Beach Jetty and BuBu Villa is located 500 meters away from BuBu Resort on the same Long Beach.

What is the difference between BuBu Villa and BuBu Resort?

BuBu Villa consists of separately located villas with independent boundaries for each which provides a more private staying experience whereas BuBu Resort is a three storey beachfront resort facing the sea.

How do I make a hotel reservation?

Simply click on the Book Now button on the website. You can also email info@buburesort.com or dial +603-2142 6688 (Ext. 1) and we will be happy to assist you.

How do I check if I have successfully made a booking?

You will receive a confirmation/booking voucher upon successful booking with full payment.

Can I book on someone else’s behalf?

Yes, however the guest must present their valid ID upon check in.

Can I check-in if the booking is under someone else’s name?

No, only the guest name with valid ID stated in the booking confirmation will be allowed to check-in.

If I am making a booking for one room for 2 persons, do I need to provide both names?

No, you only need to provide one name. The person named in the booking must be present during check in.

Is it compulsory to print out my booking reservation?

It is advisable to print out your booking reservation for reference and easy check in at the Hotel. If you don’t have a print out of your reservation, please confirm your booking details at the Reception Desk and provide your identification.

Can I cancel my booking?

Other than change of guest name, all bookings cannot be amended, modified or cancelled. Any booking cancellation or failure to arrive on the scheduled check-in date will be treated as no-show in respect of a booking and will result in the total payment under that Booking Confirmation (including any add-on charges together with any applicable tax paid) being forfeited as it is non-refundable.

Can I change my room type upon check-in?

All changes or special requests are subject to availability. Surcharge may apply for room upgrades.

What is the standard check-in and check-out time?

Standard check-in time is at 2 PM and check-out at 11 AM.

Do you allow early check-in and late check-out?

Early check in or late check out requests are subject to the availability. Surcharge may apply for early check in or late check out.

What is the reception operating hours?

The reception area operates from 7.30am to 10.30pm only.

Do your rates include taxes?

All of our rates already include GST (Good & Services Tax)

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept cash and Credit/Debit cards (Master & Visa).

Do you have internet access in the resort?

We have a dedicated internet line and provide high speed internet with wifi access at our lobby and selected areas.

Are extra beds available?

Yes, we offer extra beds should you require one. These are available for the Garden Room and all Villa Rooms an an extra cost. The cost for extra an bed cos starts from MYR 250++

Are all the rooms air-conditioned?

All of our rooms are equipped with air-conditioning units.

Are there safes in the room?

Yes, we offer a digital electronic safe in each of our rooms.

What about your spa?

Both BuBu Resort and BuBu Villa have their own dedicated beach massage facilities. A variety of massages and treatments are available. Please click HERE to find out more.

Does the online rate include breakfast?

Yes, we do have complimentary breakfast included in our online packages! We guarantee best rate available through our more website which is more favorable than travel agencies like Agoda, Expedia, etc.
If you do not wish to have breakfast then simply choose one of our Room Only packages.

Can I bring my pet inside the hotel?

Pets are strictly not allowed in both of the properties.

Can I store my bag?

Yes, you may refer to Front Desk.

Are smoking rooms available?

We are sorry, but BuBu Resort rooms are strictly non-smoking. There will be a cleaning fee incurred levied per incidence of smoking. For rooms with balconies, smoking is only permitted on our balconies.

Do you serve vegetarian food?

Yes, a special menu can be pre-arranged.

What is the difference between Garden Villa and Beach Villa?

Garden Villa is a private villa attached with private garden and indoor open concept bathroom. Beach Villa is located nearer to the beach linked with the other 5 units of villas and attached with open air bathrooms.

What is the difference between Deluxe Garden Room and Deluxe Room?

Deluxe Garden Room is located on the Ground Floor with glass door which provides an easy access to the beach. Deluxe Room is located on the First or Second Floor attached with a balcony that provides sea view.

What is the difference between Deluxe Room and Honeymoon Room?

Deluxe Room is located on the corner row of First and Second Floor, provides partial sea view room. Honeymoon Room is located on the middle of highest floor (Second Floor) with four-poster bed, with full sea view room.

Which airport is the most convenient?

The nearest airport in the mainland is Kota Bharu Airport (Sultan Ismail Petra). Daily flights fly from Kuala Lumpur to this airport.

Is there any direct bus from Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Besut Jetty?

Yes, Mahligai Ekspres, Sani Express or Perdana Express provides direct bus services from Kuala Lumpur TBS (Kuala Lumpur Bus Terminal Bersepadu Selatan) to Kuala Besut Bus Terminal.

Do you provide airport pick up from Kota Bharu Airport?

Yes we provide return land transfer from Kota Bharu Airport. The charges are RM80.00 nett per per adult. Children below 12 years will be charged at RM40 nett. For more details please check the Getting There page in our website.

Where can I park my car at Kuala Besut Jetty?

There is a parking space at the jetty area itself, based on first come first served basis or you may park your car at Kuala Besut bus station (RM10 nett per day). It is a 5 minutes walk from the jetty.

What is the last boat from Kuala Besut Jetty to Perhentian Islands?

The last boat from Kuala Besut Jetty to Perhentian Islands operated by BuBu is 2pm and on Friday it is scheduled at 2.30pm however there are local boat operators who will departure up to 5pm.

Can we arrange boat transfer after 5pm?

Private Chartered Boat Transfers are available until 6pm after which the harbor master will close the jetty gate. Boat operators are not allowed to transfer any passenger after 6pm due to safety reasons.

When is the earliest boat from Long Beach Jetty to Kuala Besut Jetty be arranged? Any surcharge or extra cost applied?

The earliest boat that can be arrange from Long Beach Jetty to Kuala Besut Jetty is 8am. The boat transfer will be chargeable at RM 50.00 per adult per way and RM 25.00 per child per way. Private Chartered Boat are available at RM 1,500.00 per boat per way.

How much is the Marine Park charges?

Marine Park charges have to be paid directly to Marine Park counter at Kuala Besut jetty. The charges as per below :
